Scholarship Opportunities

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

1. Be accepted for admission to Mount Marty College by February 1.
2. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 and/or composite ACT score of 24.
3. Submit a cover letter to Mount Marty College's Dean for Enrollment Management requesting consideration for an Academic Scholarship. Please include the following information: your name, address, phone number, cumulative grade point average, ACT score, and name and address of your high school.
4. Write an essay, 200 words or less, describing what contributions you would make to the campus as a Mount Marty College student.
5. Have your guidance counselor or a teacher send a letter of recommendation discussing your leadership qualities.

CATHOLIC YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS

1. Be accepted to Mount Marty College by February 1.
2. Achieve a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
3. Be an active member of your church.
4. Have your pastor, or someone else with whom you have worked with in your parish, send a letter of reference describing your leadership qualities in church activities.
5. Submit a list of all church activities you have been involved in. Also include your name, address, phone number, and cumulative grade point average.
6. In 200 words or less, write an essay stating why you would like this award.
7. Students applying for this scholarship must remain active in campus ministry and/or community service activities while attending Mount Marty College.

TALENT AWARDS

1. Be accepted for admission to Mount Marty College by February 1.
2. Submit a letter of recommendation from your theatre, art or music teacher which emphasizes your talents.
3. Please include your name, address and phone number with your application. 
4. If you are applying for a Talent Award in Theatre:
Send a list of plays/musicals or oral interpretation contests in which you have participated (include roles played, contest rules, etc.), and arrange for an on-campus interview.
5. If you are applying for a Talent Award in Art:  Send a list of art contests in which your work has been enetered (include awards earned), and arrange an on-campus interview.
6. If you are applying for a Talent Award in Music: Send a list of music contests and related awards in which you have been involved in during high school and arrange an on-campus audition.

MUSIC MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS

1. Be accepted to Mount Marty College by February 1.
2. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and/or an ACT composite score of 24.
3. Awards are given to students who will major in either Music Education and/or Music Performance.
4. Submit a letter of recommendation from your music instructor.
5. Submit a typewritten listing of the repertoire that you have studied.  Include your name, address, phone number, cumulative grade point average, and ACT score.
6. Schedule a personal on-campus audition and interview with the music faculty.

Additional institutional grants and awards may also be available.  Consideration for these and all other financial assistance programs is given based on completion and processing of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
